Alien Sketch

Alien Sketch

1. Crash Site: The drawing depicts an alien spaceship crash site at a wasteland and a lone scientist slowly approaching it, hoping to discover something extraordinary. When designing the spaceship, I combined organic and mechanical aspects to make it otherworldly. In a sense, the spaceship itself is an alien, a living organism of some kind.

2. The Revolution: The drawing depicts a group of resistance fighters battling against a giant war machine in a futuristic dystopian city. I wanted the battle to feel intense, with destruction everywhere, so I added explosions and debris to make the battlefield more dynamic. The robot was placed at the center of the drawing at a distance to appear intimidating and large in scale.

3. Arrival: The drawing depicts the arrival of a group of near-future elite operatives during a battle back in World War 2 in order to change the outcomes of the war. With this drawing, I wanted to explore the idea of combining old with new, the past with the future. The soldiers depicted are dressed in modern uniforms and combat gears, while the background presents a tank and airplane from WW2 along with destroyed buildings resulting from the war.

4. First Contact: In a ruined city of the future, a survivor searches and ultimately meets one of the machine overlords called The Maker. Taking inspiration from long-legged spiders, The Maker is the creator of machines in the world of this illustration, and his six long arms along with human-like hands allow him to produce machines with efficiency. The pose of The Maker hanging from a large mechanical structure is also similar to a spider dangling from a web. Several Collectors (the box-shaped aircraft) can be seen in the distance floating above the city. They collect resources from the ruins and control the machines in their respective vicinity.
